Cameras and Cars – The Results

On the evening of Monday 13th October the club had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the spacious and immaculate showrooms of Audi Wakefield for an exclusive photography session. Mr Duncan Anderson, Head of Business at Audi Wakefield, very kindly arranged for the large showroom to be open in the evening. Both the cars and the environment were spotless creating the right atmosphere for the shoot. Virtually all the current Audi range was on show and about forty members were there together with lots of tripods in use so sometimes it was difficult to get a “clean” shot without others in view.

The images below were submitted from members and Mr Anderson kindly agreed to select the best images of the night and to give a prize; after spending time in the showroom many members knew what they would like as a prize but ………. Given the wide variety of images and the creativity shown Duncan didn’t have an easy task. Here are his words

It was a genuinely tricky task to choose and as a novice I may not have picked up on the finer points of technical know-how and composition but I quite liked these images!! My selections are as follows:
1st       Sleek Lines
2nd      Beam me up Audi
3rd      Off the walls

Thanks again for coming to Wakefield Audi and I’m pleased to hear everyone enjoyed it.

So Sarah Bindon took first, Sally Sallett took second and in third place was Lyndsay Halliday – a clean sweep for the ladies on what many may have thought to be a more “male” subject. Just shows.
