Cameras and Cars
On the evening of Monday 13th October the club had the wonderful opportunity of visiting the spacious and immaculate showrooms of Audi Wakefield for an exclusive photography session. Mr Duncan Anderson, Head of Business at Audi Wakefield, very kindly arranged for the large showroom to be open in the evening for the exclusive use of club members to practice those difficult but impressive car shots. We had the run of the showrooms and the service bay and both the cars and the environment were spotless creating the right atmosphere for the shoot. Virtually all the current Audi range was on show and members were soon shooting details, outsides, wheels, insides, rooms, reflections, lights – basically anything in view. About forty members were there and there must have been at least 30 tripods in use so sometimes it was difficult to get a “clean” shot without others in view. Mr Anderson has kindly agreed to select the best image of the night and to give a prize; after spending time in the showroom many members knew what they would lime as a prize but I think they may be disappointed! If you wish to enter the competition then submit just one image by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on the 20th October. Many, many thanks to Duncan Anderson for the opportunity and to his staff for being present and so helpful, and thank to Chris New our syllabus secretary for arranging a unique evening.
