Camera club makes an exhibition of itself!
A team from the club “got stuck in” on Thursday night and framed the prints, transported everything to The Ridings, erected the stands and mounted all the prints – and very professional it looked too. We kept a count of all the people who spent some time looking at the exhibition for a reasonable length of time. On Friday we counted 190, many stopping to talk to the members who volunteered to staff the exhibition and taking away information on the summer workshops. We topped this on Saturday with approx. 360 people counted. Even on Sunday the count was over 150 so an incredibly successful exhibition with thanks to all who contributed their time and effort. About 750 people took an active interest in the exhibition and hopefully some will become new members of the club. Again a team dismantled the whole thing and transported everything back to storage in Horbury so once again thanks to all concerned. Special thanks to Malcolm Dobson for managing and co-ordinating the effort.
