Informal A4 Critique and Feedback Night
Our first meeting of 2016 attracted 40 hardy souls with an large number of entries up for this evenings Critique and feedback session. This format was a new twist on the old theme to deliver supportive comments and feedback in a non-combative atmosphere.
Sally Sallett, one of our YPU Judges in residence was given a range of images on differing media to review and offer words of wisdom.
Topic of the images streched from landscapes through natural history right up to portraits with the odd humorous one thrown in for good measure.
With all this variety of styles on show Sally got into her stride quickly and was soon giving the benefit of her experience to the audience of authors.
The evening lived up to it’s expectations in that the new format has proven to give what the members were looking for – detailed feedback on their efforts.
To round off the evening a selection of images from one of the online British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE’s) was shown on the theme of Panels, which enable the members to see first hand what might be required for our upcoming Triptych Competition in July.
A further selection of images from Wigan 10 rounded off the first evening.
