Welcome to Wakefield Camera Club. We are a long-established, thriving and friendly club, meeting most weeks. Meetings are always open to non-members so if you’re interested in photography why not come along.
Our next meeting is on Monday 19th October – Judging of the 5th Round of the Clubman Trophy. The Clubman Trophy is a competition which comprises of 5 rounds which are judged throughout the year. Three have a set subject (chosen at the beginning of each year) and 2 are “open” i.e. anything goes. This is the final round for 2019 and the subject is “Work”. It should be a fascinating insight into what members think of as work and how it is interpreted as a photograph. As usual there is a category for prints and another for digital images and the competition is keen. There is usually a very good attendance for the Clubman judging so it promises to be a good night.
On the evening of Monday 2nd December Wakefield Camera Club will welcome Paul Gallagher, a Master of Landscape photography. Pau will be discussing his time using B&W film to Digital, Colour and Infrared work. This is a ticket only event so please contact the club to purchase a ticket. You can see more about Paul’s work on his own site www.paulgallagher.co.uk.
