John Gardner – Annual Retrospective

Each year members of Wakefield Camera Club look forward to John’s Annual Retrospective. John is a long term member of the club and is “A professional commercial, portrait and beauty photographer based in Wakefield but covering the whole of Yorkshire and beyond. A wealth of experience and talent ensures images of the highest quality and creativity.”

For his Annual Retrospective John uses a selection of images taken throughout the year to narrate a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

The majority of the images covered John’s favourite subject of wildlife. There were beetles, bugs, butterflies, hawks, harriers, herons and just about everything in-between. Whilst the images were excellent, it is the detail behind each image that makes for a great evening. John tells the story of each image, how it was taken, where it was taken and how it was taken.

John works as a professional photographer where his main focus is people and promotional work. He does a lot of work with the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. John showed a number of shots using a mixture of natural and flash lighting that have been recently used in their newsletter.

If the evening was from the bottom of John’s barrel then we cannot wait to see images from the full barrel. You can see more of John’s work or contact John through his website at John Gardner Photography.
