Time to stop going round in circles – we have the winners!
The theme for the May online competition was “Circles” and, as usual there were quite a few interpretations. Robert Bilton was judge this month and he has cast his eye over them and come up with his pick of the crop. Here are his comments.
1st Ever Decreasing Circles – An ingenious use of a sphere to create a series of ever decreasing circles. The author has created a really interesting image, perfectly symmetrical and drawing the eye into the centre of the image. The use of monochrome also adds to the impact.
2nd Plane Circles – Another imaginative image using propeller blade tips to create the illusion of circles, this is a well thought out image, I especially like the dark background which helps to emphasise the circles.
3rd Morning Glow – A really simple image well spotted, the soft light on the inside of the holes adds more interest. Only one small suggestion would be to remove the red band as this slightly distracting, otherwise a great image.
Thank you to all those who entered images and for the opportunity to judge them.
Thanks Robert for your words of wisdom. Do you agree with him? Take a look at the images below and see what you think. The them for June is …. “Laughter”. Well let’s see what you can all do. They say Laughter is the best medicine so why not take a double dose and send an entry in in the usual way.
