Who’s laughing now?
The subject for the June online competition was “Laughter” and we looked forward to having a smile put on our faces by the entrants. However, June must have found a very glum set of Wakefield Camera Club members as only 3 entries were received. A big “Thank You” to those three and you can see the entries below. Tony Hallam-Cutler was the judge this month so it has made his job a little easier. Here are his comments.
1st Its The Way I Tell Em – This a couple at a 1940’s event having a great time lovely interaction between them while taking a fun of the day. Well seen and captured just at the right moment.
2nd Kids Just Wanna Have Fun – Kids just wanna have fun is what they are doing. Well captured and nice grouping of the subjects.
3rd A Different Personal Service – This is a well seen street scene of three people. It looks to be on a station platform somewhere whilst waiting for a train. A bit of personal service takes place but shame about the yellow grit bin which draws eyes to that area of the picture straight away.
So who shot what. Well in first place was Peter Marsh with “Its The Way I Tell Em”. Second was Sally Sallett with “Kid Just Wanna Have Fun” and third was John Upson with “A Different Personal Service”. Thanks Tony for your words and I can say that I had the same opinion. Have a look below to see the images.
The subject for July is “Reflections” and we seem to have had enough rain for plenty of reflections in water, but how about mirrors, windows, chrome hub-caps (if anyone can remember those!) and silver to name a few – or you might just want to create a reflection in Photoshop for an unusual effect. Have a go and upload your entry before 20th July. I know I will.
