The use of social media to promote personal photography is one which interests many of our members. It is however something which requires a clear understanding of the various platforms, how and when to post, as well as considering personal goals in sharing images.

To this end, our progamme secretary invited Mia Sedgwick, a social media expert, to clarify the whole process. Using carefully presented slides, Mia logically explained her views and approach to the matter.  

As the evening progressed, there were interactive sessions, the audience were able to ask questions and by the end of the night members had all the information needed to plan their next social media steps.

The following day our WhatsApp group was sprinkled with compliments for Mia's presentation and it was encouraging to see that several members had set up personal photography accounts.
