David Lockton, (pictured in the stocks) was a witty, warm and welcoming member of Wakefield Camera Club. Every year the club hold this competition in his name for members who haven't placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any of our other contests.

Club member and YPU judge, Steve Womack had appraised the entry. Aided by Jeff Cummins, our External Competition Secretary, the pair gave objective feedback on each of the twenty images, with lots of advice and processing tips.

Eight images were held back, with the entry by Tim Helliwell taking the top spot. It was really encouraging to see a healthy entry with new names coming to the fore. There was a very pleasing response to the images and judging on our WhatsApp Group.
