TIM JONAS - TINY WORLDS

Wakefield Camera Club member, Tim Jonas was all set to become an event photographer and then Covid happened. Rather than put his camera away, he started to take shots in his garden and before he knew it a passion in macro photography was born.
Now Tim is acknowledged as a leading macro photographer in West Yorkshire. His stunning images have proved invaluable to scientific research, having recorded very rare and unsighted images of Arachnids, Springtails and Insects. Tim's work has been shown on the BBC Nature Watch programme.
In his talk to club members this week, Tim amazed his audience with a collection of superb images illustrating the wonderful bio-diversity of the area. Included in the talk were very specific details of his kit and shooting tecnique. Tim was also very generous with his processing advice and his favourite haunts.
Members were quick to praise Tim on our social media, with comments such as, 'Thank you for showing your work last night. It's stunning', ' A fantastic evening', 'Excellent, thank you', Thank you for a fascinating presentation tonight', 'Amazing session tonight' and 'One could sense the awe in the room - I've never seen the club so enraptured!'
There's no wonder the man with chains and a spade, walking through one of Tim's favourite haunts in the dead of night has given him the nick-name of 'Spider Man'.
